1. Overview

Waitlist App ("we", "our", "the Service") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data Storage — Free Tier

The free version of Waitlist App stores all data locally on your device using browser localStorage. No personal data, customer information, or waitlist entries are transmitted to our servers. Your data stays on your device and is never collected by us.

3. Data Storage — Pro Tier

If you subscribe to Pro, we store the following on our servers:

• Account information: your name, email address, and hashed password.
• Queue data: business name, queue settings, and queue entries (customer names, phone numbers, email addresses, party sizes, notes) that you sync to the server.
• Subscription data: plan type, subscription status, and billing dates. Your payment details (card number, CVC) are stored exclusively by Stripe and never touch our servers.

This data is necessary to provide tracking links, which allow your customers to view their position in your queue via a unique URL.

4. Payment Processing & Stripe

We use Stripe, Inc. to process all payments. When you subscribe to Pro:

• Your payment information is collected directly by Stripe’s embedded payment form. We never see or store your full card number.
• Stripe processes and stores your payment data in compliance with PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment security certification.
• Charges appear on your statement as WAITLISTAPP.

5. Email Communications

We use Mailgun to send transactional emails (account confirmations, support responses). We do not send marketing emails or newsletters. Your email address is not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Customer Tracking Links

When a Pro subscriber creates a queue entry, a unique tracking URL is generated. Anyone with this URL can view the customer’s position in the queue and estimated wait time. No login is required. These links do not expose phone numbers, email addresses, or other personal details — only the customer’s first name, position, and business name are displayed.

7. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns (page views, device types, geographic regions). This data is anonymized and does not include any waitlist entries, customer information, or payment details.

8. Advertising

The free version may display ads through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies to serve relevant ads. You can manage ad preferences through Google’s Ad Settings. The Pro version does not display ads.

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Free tier data exists only on your device and can be deleted at any time via the Reset App function. Pro tier account and queue data is retained for the duration of your subscription. To delete your account and all associated data, contact support@waitlistapp.org.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may export your data at any time using the Export Data function. For data deletion requests or other privacy inquiries, contact us at support@waitlistapp.org.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
