Is Waitlist App really free?
Yes. The offline app is completely free with no account and runs unlimited entries on your device. Create a free Starter account to put your line online — synced across your devices, with customer tracking links and scan-to-join QR codes. Registered plans meter new guests (Starter 250/week, Pro 1,500/month, Enterprise 2,000/month). Pro and Enterprise add managed SMS & email, multiple lines, memberships, events, and more — see pricing for details.
Can I have separate queues for each barber, stylist, doctor, or location?
The offline app runs one queue per device, and a free Starter account runs one online queue synced across your devices. For multiple separate lines — each with its own tracking link and branded page — upgrade to Pro or Enterprise, which run multiple lines from one dashboard. See pricing for details.
Does it work offline?
Absolutely. Waitlist App is built as an offline-first PWA. Once loaded, the free app works without any internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device.
How do notifications work?
The free app opens your device's own SMS, WhatsApp, or email with a pre-filled message. Pro sends managed SMS and email for you automatically, with no phone needed. Enterprise can send over your own Twilio account.
Can I use it on multiple devices?
The offline app stores data on each device independently. A free Starter account puts your queue online so it syncs across all your devices and lets you share it with staff — no payment required.
What business types are supported?
Restaurant, Salon/Spa, Medical, Podcasts, and General. Each type customizes terminology, icons, and default notification messages. (Business type changes labels only — to have separate queues per provider, see the multi-queue question above.)
Is my data safe?
Your free-tier data stays on your device. We don't have access to it. Paid-tier account data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How do I install the app?
Visit waitlistapp.org/free on your device's browser. You'll see an "Add to Home Screen" or "Install" prompt. The app works like a native app once installed.
