Is Waitlist App really free?
Yes. The core app is completely free, works offline, and has no entry caps. Paid plans (Pro, Premium, Developer) add multi-queue, customer tracking links, server-side SMS, embeddable widgets, and other power features — see pricing for current details.
Can I have separate queues for each barber, stylist, doctor, or location?
The free app supports one queue per device. For multiple separate queues (each with its own tracking link and branded page), upgrade to a paid plan: Pro includes 3 queues, Premium includes 10, and Developer is unlimited and metered. Additional queues on Pro and Premium are billed at a small overage fee. See pricing for current rates.
Does it work offline?
Absolutely. Waitlist App is built as an offline-first PWA. Once loaded, the free app works without any internet connection. Your data is stored locally on your device.
How do notifications work?
Free tier uses your device's native messaging: SMS, WhatsApp, or email apps open directly with pre-filled messages. Premium tier sends notifications through Twilio (SMS) and email servers without needing your phone open.
Can I use it on multiple devices?
The free version stores data on each device independently. Paid plans (Pro and up) include account-based queues that sync across all your devices and let you share each queue with staff.
What business types are supported?
Restaurant, Salon/Spa, Medical, Podcasts, and General. Each type customizes terminology, icons, and default notification messages. (Business type changes labels only — to have separate queues per provider, see the multi-queue question above.)
Is my data safe?
Your free-tier data stays on your device. We don't have access to it. Paid-tier account data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
How do I install the app?
Visit waitlistapp.org/free on your device's browser. You'll see an "Add to Home Screen" or "Install" prompt. The app works like a native app once installed.
